Cookie Policy

How we use cookies on this website.

Introduction

We use cookies to enhance your experience on canme.cloud and to understand how the site is used. You have full control over your choices and can update your preferences at any time using the reset action at the bottom of this page.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by the websites you visit. They are stored in your browser and sent back to our servers so we can remember preferences — for example, your selected language or theme — and so we can measure how the site is used. Without cookies, every visit would look identical to us and basic conveniences like remembering your settings would not work.

Cookies on this site

Here is an overview of the cookies that may be stored on your device when you visit our website. Essential cookies are always active; optional cookies are loaded only after you click "I agree" on the consent banner.

Category of CookiePurposeExamples
Session & Security (essential)Authenticate users, protect user data and allow the website to deliver the services users expect. This marketing site does not have user accounts or a shopping cart, so we do not currently set any session or security cookies on these pages. Authenticated product surfaces are served from a separate domain and handle session management independently.
Preferences (essential)Remember information about the preferred look or behavior of the website — your consent choice on the cookie banner (so we do not ask on every page) and your light/dark theme. Your experience may be degraded if you discard these cookies, but the website will still work.canme_consent_v1 canme_theme
Interaction History (optional)Used to collect information about your interactions with the website, the pages you have seen, and any specific marketing campaign that brought you here. We do not currently use this category on this website.
Advertising & Marketing (optional)Used to make advertising more engaging and to measure ad-campaign performance. We use the Meta Pixel to understand which visits follow from our ads on Facebook and Instagram, to measure conversions (such as a demo booking), and to show more relevant ads to people who have visited this site. The website will still work if you reject or discard these cookies. Loaded only after you click "I agree" on the consent banner._fbp (Meta) _fbc (Meta — set when you arrive from a Meta ad)
Analytics (optional)Understand how visitors engage with our website, via Google Analytics 4. The website will still work if you reject or discard these cookies. Loaded only after you click "I agree" on the consent banner._ga (Google) _ga_<container-id> (Google)

Google Analytics

Google Analytics 4 is operated by Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). We have configured the property so that Google truncates IP addresses before storage, which is automatic in GA4 and cannot be disabled. Data may be processed in the United States under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

GA4 is loaded with Google Consent Mode v2 set to "denied" by default. No analytics cookies are written and no behavioral identifiers are sent until you actively click "I agree" on the consent banner.

You can opt out of Google Analytics across all websites at any time by installing the official Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on (https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout).

Meta Pixel

We use the Meta Pixel, a service operated by Meta Platforms Ireland Limited (4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland). The Pixel lets us measure the effectiveness of our advertising on Facebook and Instagram, attribute conversions (such as booking a demo) to those ads, and build audiences so we can show more relevant ads to people who have visited this site.

The Pixel is loaded with consent revoked by default — no Meta cookies are written and no events (including the initial page view) are sent until you actively click "I agree" on the consent banner. When you consent, a page view and, where applicable, interaction events (for example clicking a "Book a Demo" button, starting or submitting a contact form) are transmitted to Meta.

Meta may process this data in the United States; transfers are based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and the EU standard contractual clauses. For the data Meta processes for its own purposes, CanMe GmbH and Meta act as joint controllers under Art. 26 GDPR.

You can manage how Meta uses your data for advertising in your Facebook/Instagram ad-preference settings (https://www.facebook.com/adpreferences), and you can withdraw consent here at any time using the reset action below.

Updating your preferences

You can change your choice at any time. Use the "Reset cookie preferences" button at the bottom of this page to clear our record of your decision — the consent banner will reappear on your next page load so you can decide again. You can also clear cookies directly through your browser settings.
